Relive the triumph of Apollo 16's lunar landing by becoming one of an elite few to participate in an exclusive celebration of the mission's 40th Anniversary, on April 14, 2012 where it all began — Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Florida.
This once-in-a-lifetime event is limited to only 100 tickets which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Presented by the non-profit Astronaut Scholarship Foundation, Apollo 16 Lunar Module Pilot Charles Duke alongside fellow Apollo astronauts* Alan Bean, Gene Cernan, Walt Cunningham, Dick Gordon, Fred Haise (Apollo 16 Backup Commander), James Lovell, Edgar Mitchell (Apollo 16 Backup Lunar Module Pilot), Harrison "Jack" Schmitt, Rusty Schweickart, Tom Stafford, Al Worden and more Apollo Astronauts to be announced soon will headline this extravagant affair!
As a privileged ticketholder, you'll enjoy private round-trip transportation from the host hotel to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex's award-winning Apollo Saturn V Center (ASVC) for an evening with the stars.
Once at the ASVC, you'll gather for a VIP reception and champagne toast to kick off the evening! Before you launch into the state-of-the-art museum, you will stand side by side Duke, Haise and Mitchell for a professional photo opportunity with an exact replica of the Apollo Firing Room as your backdrop! You will then be greeted by a mammoth Saturn V rocket suspended overhead as you browse the trove of Apollo artifacts; and later dine on a sumptuous four-course meal, presented at intimate tables where you'll be seated with an astronaut. Dinner will conclude with a lavish dessert spread, full of tempting sweets and specialty coffees. The grand finale will be when you and the Apollo astronauts gather in the Lunar Theatre as they reminisce about the mission in a candid discussion.
This incredible occasion may only be for one night, but you'll hold onto the memories forever with an 8 x 10" print of your photo op, a photo CD of the evening and a DVD of the Apollo astronaut discussion program.
