Mercury Astronaut Scott Carpenter Private Signing

Hosted by the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation

Give your cosmic collection the "Right Stuff" with one of NASA's original Mercury Seven astronaut's autograph! The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF) is hosting a special mail-in signing of astronaut Scott Carpenter now through March 15, 2010.

Mercury Astronaut Scott Carpenter

Space enthusiasts are invited to send in artifacts, baseballs, covers, flown items, models, and photos — just about anything desired — or choose from one of the many popular photos of Carpenter featured in the Online Store for the space hero to sign. Either way, anything mailed in can be personalized and accompanied by a photo of Carpenter signing the item for a Certificate of Authenticity.

Every item received will be logged, tagged and stored in a secure location until Carpenter's late March signing. All items must be accompanied by the ASF Order Form and Item Description Form and must reach the ASF office by March 15 (Deadline extended to March 19).

A member of the first astronaut group introduced by NASA in April 1959, Carpenter was the second American to orbit the Earth during his Mercury-Atlas 7 mission in 1962. He also has the unique distinction of being the first Astronaut-Aquanaut, conducting experiments in both inner and outer space. Carpenter is an accomplished author and serves on the Foundation's Board of Directors as one of its Founders. Carpenter was inducted into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame on May 11, 1990.
